Award winning filmmaker Pat Edwards may have become a filmmaker by chance. It was fate that day when he read an article about Bruce Lee that would change his life. The article described the difficulty of filming Bruce Lee with a movie camera. Inspired by this article, Edwards took an interest in the art of filmmaking and began reading any material he could find on the subject. Fate intervened again when a friend agreed to film his wedding on super8mm home movie film. Edwards took a look at the footage and then tried editing it himself. To his surprise the editing turned out better than expected and his interest in filmmaking grew. Edwards then attempted a super8 short film entitled "The Picnic". The film was submitted in the prestigious Yorkton Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Short Drama. Edwards learned soon after that he was also accepted into the full-time film program at Algonquin College.

After studies and a couple of years of free-lance film work he was offered a position with Adams & Associates. The Film Company offered technical services and equipment to the Colleges, Universities, and filmmakers across Canada. In 1986 Edwards purchased Adams Film-Video Limited. Since then he has produced many government, industrial, and corporate videos. Edwards has also produced many TV Commercials and independent productions which have been broadcast nationally and internationally. As a creative film making artist, Pat Edwards has garnered numerous Film Awards which he has won for his original works.
